LEDBURY'S public toilets are to be opened during the town's October Fair.
Herefordshire Council has decided to pay for the opening of the toilets on the evenings of October 13 and 14 when the event takes place.
The move follows protests from the town's mayor Councillor Keith Francis after Ledbury Town Council was told it would have to pay contractors Amey £110.94 per night for the extended use of the Bye Street and Church Lane toilets.
Herefordshire Council has now agreed to pay the price of keeping the toilets at no charge to the town council.
