A MOTORCYCLIST was taken to hospital this morning after a collision with a car.
A bike and car collided at around 9.30am on Hampton Park Road near the junction with St Margaret’s Road, leaving the road partially blocked.
Emergency services attended and made the vehicles safe while the injured motorcyclist was taken to hospital by land ambulance.
Susie Fothergill, for the ambulance service, said: "On arrival at the scene crews found a man unconscious in the road.
"It is believed that the motorbike that he had been in travelling on had been in collision with a car.
"Crews treated a man, believed to be in his 50’s, for serious head and chest injuries.
"The man was taken on blue lights to Hereford County Hospital for further assessment and treatment.
"The hospital was pre-alerted to the arrival of the man and of the severity of his injuries. No one else was injured in this incident."
