HEREFORDSHIRE'S closure threatened LEA pool has been thrown a lifeline.
Herefordshire Council's cabinet has agreed to put the closure plan on hold while a rescue strategy for the pool is prepared.
Councillor Sally Robertson, chairman of the Children's Services Scrutiny Committee told cabinet this afternoon (Wednesday), that a number of community-led ideas were coming forward to keep the pool open.
Council leader Coun Roger Philips said that any rescue plan had to come with a full financial breakdown and time scale by which costs could be covered.
The future of the pool will now be decided in the new year.
