On course for a better future

I WRITE this letter to the Whittern Way resident who placed a note on my car on Tuesday, September 23.

I am a student at HCT and the resident believed I should not be parking along Whittern Way, even though I had parked with care and blocked no other cars or driveways.

To the resident: do you not believe your issue should be with the college for not providing enough parking for their students with cars? We do. We complain frequently. Do you?

And do you not think the students who cannot park on campus get just as annoyed as you for the situation they are in? We pay for our parking permits and then are not able to park on site.

What it comes down to is that I am at college to complete a course which will take me on to the career I wish to spend my life doing.

I want to provide a future for myself and more importantly, my son.

And I am going to park wherever I can to get to college on time, because my reasons for parking there are more important than your reasons for me not parking there.

ELIZABETH BEGG, Brobury Close, Newton Farm, Hereford.

Absolutely Fantastic reply, well done Elizabeth.. perhaps this resident should also remenber what road tax stands for, unless there is a sign up stating no parking in this area AND the sign has the enforcement of the council, then the person who complained owes Elizabeth an apology.
