MOST of the people on this photograph have experienced cardiac health problems.
Most attended the cardiac rehabilitation course at Hereford County Hospital following their treatment.
It was there they heard of Herefordshire Heartstart, an organisation that trains people across the county to become potential lifesavers when someone suffers a suspected heart attack.
Recently, the group, all from the Ross-on-Wye area, attended an emergency life support course at the Ryefield Centre in the town organised by Heartstart so they could help others if the need arose.
It was at the meeting that Herefordshire Heartstart trained its 16,000th person – Joan Snell, of Ross-on-Wye.
Later this month, on Thursday, September 25, Heartstart will beginning a new course at the Queen’s Building, at the Royal National College for the Blind in Hereford from 7pm to 9pm.
It will cover dealing with an unconscious person, CPR training, choking, recognising and treating someone with a severe heart attack and severe bleeding. It is free but a donation would be welcome.
Anyone interested should phone Sue Davies on 01432 880998 or email info@heartstart.plus.com
